Design direction

Quiet warmth with proper storage

If a wall needs substantial cupboards, colour alone will not make it feel lighter. We divide volumes and decide which part can remain open without creating too much cleaning.

Pale timber chosen carefully

Not every oak has the same undertone. We look at samples beside the floor and avoid competing grains.

Soft whites and greys

Daylight changes how they read. A warm off-white may sit better than a pure white.

Legs or a plinth

Raising a sideboard can lighten it and help with some cleaning, but stability and use have to be checked.

A calm exterior can still contain drawers, shelves and divisions for the things you own.
